Experience
Worked on Thermal Power Project in UP State Electricity Board as Assistant Engineer for 14 months.
Joined as Indian Railways Service of Engineers (IRSE) in March 1989; continuing in Railway service.
Having Illustrious career working on various posts and presently holding the post of Principal Chief Engineer, Western Railway having responsibility of maintenance of Track, Railway Stations, Colonies, Office Buildings, Road Network, Water Supply and Drainage. Also, complete budget of Zonal Railway is maintained by Principal Chief Engineer. Principal Chief Engineer is also responsible for creation of new Assets and upgradation of Assets including major upgradation of Railway Stations, and upgradation/ renewal of track for increasing speed of trains running on tracks.
Having experience of design of Civil Engineering structures and Bridges while working as Dy. Chief Engineer (Design) in Central Railway for more than 2 years.
Having rich experience of handling important research projects while working in Research, Design and Standards Organization (RDSO), Lucknow. Handled important projects of Planning of Test Track for Indian Railways, fatigue testing of rails and rail welds, non-destructive testing of rails by Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Technology using rail bound car running at high speed etc.
Worked as Deputy Chief Engineer in Konkan Railway Corporation Limited on deputation for 5 years and constructed important structures and new track in a challenging terrain.
Worked as Chief Track Engineer in Central Railway having responsibility of maintenance of track for safe running of trains, renewal of over-aged track components, upgradation of track as per technical advancements.
Having wide experience of teaching various technical subjects while working as Senior Professor in Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN), Pune. Subjects ranged from Track Technology, Construction Technology, Contracts & Arbitration, Non-Destructive Testing, Geo-Technical Investigation etc. The curriculum also included field visits of newly inducted Group ‘A’ IRSE Officers and In-service Officers.
