Chief Guest: Sh. Rajesh Kumar Singh (Secretary, DPIIT) emphasized the crucial role of capacity building and skill development in the logistics sector to establish efficient and cost-effective logistics and infrastructure systems. He further highlighted on integrating Logistics and Infrastructure Development courses into the curriculum of CTIs and State ATIs, so that officers are better prepared to tackle the complexities of infrastructure development, enhance logistical efficiencies, and contribute significantly to India's economic growth and development agenda.
Purpose of Workshop: Capacity Building to Strengthen Knowledge of PM GatiShakti and its role in Developmental agenda through Education & Training. The workshop aimed to provide a common platform for brainstorming on the pedagogical strategies, curriculum development, and the integration of real-world logistics and infrastructure challenges into administrative training discourse of government officials.
Attendees: The workshop saw participation from more than 100 officials, comprising senior officials from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), BISAG-N, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya as well as representatives from Line Ministries/Departments, Central Training Institutes (CTIs), State Administrative Training Institutes (ATIs), Karmayogi Bharat and related educational/training institutions.
MOU Signing with St Petersburg State Transport University

Today, Prof. Evgeny Korovyakovskiy (Rector's Advisor for International Cooperation) and Prof. Vorobyev Aleksandr A. (Head of Department of Ground Transport and Technological Complexes), from Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University Russia visited Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya
In order to foster collaboration between both universities (and countries) in the transportation sector, an MOU was signed. The MoU was signed between myself and Prof. Oleg Valinsky (Rector of the Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University, Russia).
The MoU incorporates (1) Development and implementation of joint educational and research programs, (2) Joint research efforts in fields of
mutual interest and in accordance with the funds available, (3) Joint publication of the results of research to be conducted, (4) Exchange of students, faculty members, researchers, and experts in accordance with requirements accepted in both countries, and (5) Exchange of information concerning scientific achievements, important conferences and symposia of mutual interest, etc.

The annual Tech-Fest EPITOME'2024 of India's first-ever transportation university is scheduled for 2-3 March 2024. Through strategic collaboration with key players in the transportation infrastructure, logistics, and supply chain management sector, Tech-Fest provides participants with practical insights into real-world industry challenges, fostering a holistic understanding of the sector's dynamics. This strategic partnership enhances the depth of discussions. It ensures that the event is deeply rooted in solving real-world challenges and exploring opportunities in the transportation sector.
The second edition of EPITOME'2024 (2–3 March 2024) is set to receive extensive media coverage, underscoring its significance in driving industry-driven innovation. This technical festival highlights Vishwavidyalaya's commitment to shaping the future of transportation and amplifies the broader discourse on the role of technology in advancing sectors. EPITOME, therefore, stands not only as a technical event but also as a pivotal juncture in the ongoing dialogue between academia and the transportation industry, contributing substantively to the collective knowledge, ideas, and solutions that can propel the transportation sector forward to make India a developed nation by 2047.

Republic Day Celebrations 2024 at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and National Academy of Indian Railways:
With patriotism and youthful energy, celebrations galore.
We were graciously joined by Vadodara MP Ranjan Ben Bhatt ji, and Sh. Anil Kumar Lahoti ji (Distinguished Visiting Professor - GSV, and Former Chairman of Railway Board) on the occasion. The participants proudly wore T-Shirts carrying "Viksit Bharat @ 2047" in their hearts and dreams. We also carried out a Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Meritorious staff from both GSV and NAIR were recognized for their contributions.

Sessions were held on Drone Applications in agriculture sector, Industry 4.0 in Logistics sector, green logistics and multimodal transportation. Students from Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya presented their ideas and research papers.
The event was very well organized by Dr. Venkat Chintala (Associate Professor, GSV) and the students volunteers from GSV.

Industrial Visit Railway Workshop Pratapnagar
9th & 12th September 2022
Engineering department has arranged a half day industrial visit for:
1. B.Tech. in Rail Systems & Communication Engineering (RSCE)
2. B.Tech. in Rail Infrastructure Engineering (RIE)
3. B.Tech. in Mechanical & Rail Engineering (MRE)
at Western Railway Workshop, Vadodara. 240 students of Semester 3th and 5th have visited Western Railway Workshop on 9th & 12th September 2022. Prof. V.Chintala has coordinated the industrial visit and Mr. Hemsingh Banoth- Chief Workshop Manager and Mr. V.S.Prasad- Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer has nicely explained the guidelines on safety rules & regulation for industry visit and how to perform in the areas where loco engine maintenance is going on, the various functions of different sections of Workshop. Students learned how periodic maintenance of coach and trolley works. Students visited and understood functions of various sections like mechanical maintenance of coach, trolley, shock absorber maintenance section, break system, bearing section, bio toilet, paint section etc.
