Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) is a Central University established through an Act of Parliament in 2022. GSV is India’s first University focussed on transport and logistics related education, multidisciplinary research and training.

2.Eligibility/Experience requirements for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor:
(a) Professor: Academic Pay Level 14 of 7th CPC and allowances as applicable* |
Age limit – 50 years (preferable) |
Eligibility (Qualification/ Experience): |
a. Ph. D. with a first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades) in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout. |
b. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 15 research publications in Scopus indexed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria specified; API Score Sheet (Download Here) |
c. Post PhD teaching experience of minimum of ten years in an academic institution/ university/college of which, 4 years as Associate Professor / equivalent or comparable research experience at equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. |

Post-PhD experience of minimum of ten years in a research organization / industry, with significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence. |

(b) Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A of 7th CPC and allowances as applicable* |
Age limit: 45 years (preferable) |
Eligibility (Qualification/ Experience): |
a. PhD. with a first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades) in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout. |
b. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in Scopus indexed journals and a total research score of 75 as per the criteria specified; API Score Sheet (Download Here) |
c. At least 6 years of post-PhD experience in teaching/ research/ academic professional work, with a minimum 3 years at Pay Level -12 or equivalent in a reputed Indian (or foreign) university/ institute/industry of comparable level. |

The candidate should have demonstrated research ability with an excellent record of publications in reputed journals and conferences and must have supervised Ph.D. students. The candidate should also have demonstrated excellent teaching abilities at higher educational institutions. It is desirable that the candidate has carried out laboratory development/course development/ technology development/ innovative work leading to patents and has generated sufficient funding for research. The criteria of supervision of Ph.D. students and teaching at higher educational institutions may be relaxed for candidates who have joined from industry. |

(c) Assistant Professor Academic Pay Level 10 of 7th CPC and allowances as applicable* |
Age limit: 35 years (preferable) |
Eligibility (Qualification/ Experience): |
Ph. D. with a first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades) in the preceding degree and an excellent academic record throughout. |

The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean |
(Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. |
Desirable Qualifications and Experience for All Positions: |
· Education qualifications from IITs/ IISc Bangalore/ IIMs /IISERs / the top 50 NIRF 2020 or top 500 QS /THE World University Ranking Institute/ University (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai). |
· Exposure to new institution building and active participation in institutional initiatives and students’ affairs |
· Experience of various teaching pedagogies including online teaching. |
· Proficiency in use of technology in teaching and professional work |
· Exposure to working with global partner universities and international faculty on joint projects and research |
· Experience of projects and collaboration with industry partners |
· Execution of projects with research grants from DST, CSIR etc. |
* Selected candidates will be eligible for professional development allowance and initiation grant for research activities as per GSV Rules.
The Selection Process will involve the following steps

Shortlisting committee gives its recommendation on the suitability of the candidates for the respective faculty position. |
Step-2 |
The candidates recommended by the shortlisting committee are called for a seminar and interaction. |

Seminar and Interaction |
Step-4 |
Recommendation letters are sought from the referees of these candidates who are identified after the seminar and interaction. |
Step-5 |
A final shortlist of candidates is made based on the application, faculty input, seminar, interaction and referee comments. |
Step-6 |
The shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview. |
Step-7 |
The Selection Committee conducts the Interview |
Step-8 |
The Selected candidates are offered the position, as advertised, on the approval of the competent authority. |

5. General Conditions:
- If a class/ division is not awarded, minimum of 60% marks in aggregate shall be considered equivalent to first class/ division. If a Grade Point System is adopted the CGPA will be converted into equivalent marks as below.

- A non-refundable Application fee of ₹1000/- plus GST shall be payable by UR and OBCs and EWS candidates. No application fee for SC/ ST/ PwBD/ women/ transgender candidates. The application fee is payable through the payment gateway by Internet banking / debit card / credit card.
- Without any compromise on qualification, experience and competence, reservation to SCs, STs, OBCs, EWSs and Person with Disabilities (PwBD) (VH, OH, HH) candidates as per the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India (GoI) Rules will be applicable. Eligible PwBD candidates meeting the requirements are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants who are employed in Government, Semi-Government Organisations or Institutions/ autonomous bodies should send their application THROUGH PROPER CHANNEL or a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer should be produced by the applicant at the time of the interview.
- The age on the closing day of the advertisement will be reckoned for further process.
- All supporting documents provided and the application form must bear full name and signature of the candidate on each page at the bottom.
- GSV reserves the right to summarily reject the incomplete applications and also, to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
- GSV reserves the right to waive/relax any conditions.
- Selection will be based on interview and only the shortlisted candidates will be intimated of the date, time and mode of the interview.
- Candidates applying for more than one position or for positions in multiple disciplines are required to fill-in separate applications solely through online mode.
- The candidate is responsible for the correctness of the information provided in the application form. If it is found at a later stage that any information given in the form is incorrect/false, the candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled/terminated.
- Merely fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted. GSV may decide higher criteria/ cut off for shortlisting (than prescribed).
- Outstation candidates called for interview shall be reimbursed travel expenses from the place of residence to the place of interview (Vadodara) and back (by the shortest route) as per instruction in the call letter, on production of tickets/invoice etc.
- No interim correspondence will be entertained. Canvassing in any form shall lead to automatic disqualification.
- GSV reserves the right not to fill up any / all position(s) / select any candidate without assigning any reason.
