Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya invites applications for the prestigious position of Airbus – Chair Professor in Aviation. We seek a distinguished academic and or industry leader with a proven track record of excellence in aviation research, teaching, and industry engagement. The Airbus Chair Professor in Aviation is expected to be a thought leader, an accomplished researcher, an effective teacher, and a skilled administrator. Their role is crucial in shaping the future of aviation education and research.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Post Graduate in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with an outstanding experience in Academia or Industry.
- An outstanding record of scholarly publications, research grants, execution of large-scale real life industry projects in Aviation sector.
- Extensive experience in aviation industry, preferably at a senior level. More than 20 years of experience in Aviation Academia/ Industry in Aviation sector.
- Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver innovative undergraduate, postgraduate and executive training programs in aviation technology and management.
- Lead and inspire a dynamic research team focused on cutting-edge aviation research.
- Establish strong industry collaborations and partnerships for expanding the scope of University and enriching the aviation sector.
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for the aviation industry.
- Contribute to the university’s strategic vision and growth.
Terms & Conditions:
- This position is for 3 years’ contract, and subject to annual performance review
- Compensation: best in academia, and supplemented by contingency grant for travel & research
