Presently, he is working as Additional Member (Revenue), Railway Board.

Mr Kumar is B.Tech (Electrical) with Honours from GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Nainital. He belongs to Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) Officer of 1981 batch and has over 36 years of rich and varied experience in Railways. His earlier assignments included Divisional Railway Manager Dhanbad, the biggest Division on Indian Railways, Executive Director (Development) Railway Board, Executive Director (Energy Management) Railway Board, Principal Executive Director (Transformation) Railway Board, Advisor (Rolling Stock) Railway Board and Additional Member (RE) and Transformation Railway Board.

Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha

Founding Dean, ISB and Founder & Trustee,
Ashoka University

Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha is the Founding Dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB), which rapidly became a top 20 B-school in the world. He is also the Founder & Trustee of the new liberal arts university, Ashoka University (ashoka.edu.in). Presently, he is the Provost of Anant National University, Ahmedabad, which is aiming to be India’s leading private teaching and research University in the fields of Built Habitat, Design and Sustainability. For his contributions to education, he was awarded the Personality of the Year by FICCI in 2015 and named one of India’s top 50 management thinkers by Thinkers50 in 2013. Pramath received M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.Tech. in metallurgical engineering from IIT Kanpur.

Prof. Sudhir Jain

Prof. Sudhir Jain is an active academic and a passionate academic administrator. He has been on the faculty of IIT Kanpur since 1984 from where from he moved to IIT Gandhinagar to shoulder the responsibilities as the Founder Director. Prof. Jain has experimented with numerous ideas in curriculum, student affairs, faculty recruitment and faculty management. The Institute, under his leadership, has successfully created a number of initiatives to inculcate and promote excellence by the faculty and students. With his innovative approach and energetic leadership, the new Institute has carved out a distinct identity in the IIT system. Presently, he is the Vice Chancellor of Banarus Hindu University (BHU). Dr. Jain holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Roorkee, and Masters and Doctoral degrees from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena.

Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala

Professor,
IIT Madras

Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala did his B.Tech degree from IIT Kanpur and MS and PhD from University of Maine, USA and was a faculty at Washington State University, USA for a year and half before joining as a faculty at IIT Madras in 1981. Prof. Jhunjhunwala is considered a pioneer in nurturing Industry-Academia interaction in India towards R&D, Innovation and Product Development. He conceived and built India’s first university affiliated business park (IIT Madras Research Park) to promote Industry-Academia R&D collaboration. TIE conferred him the title of Dronacharya for his contributions to the cause of entrepreneurship, as he incubated and nurtured more than 180 companies at IIT Madras. Dr. Jhunjhunwala was conferred Padmashri, Shanti-Swarup Bhatnagar Award, Vikram Sarabhai Research Award, H. K. Firodia Award, Silicon India Leadership Award, Millenium Medal at Indian Science Congress, UGC Hari Om Ashram Award, IETE’s Ram Lala Wadhwa Gold Medal, JC Bose fellowship, Bernard Low Humanitarian Award among many others.

Prof. Abhay Karandikar

Prof. Abhay Karandikar is currently serving as the Director of IIT Kanpur. Earlier, he was the Dean (Faculty Affairs) and the Institute Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay. He has been instrumental in developing many pathbreaking technologies and has been at the forefront of several large initiatives both at the institute and the national level. He is the founding member and chairman of the Telecom Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI), India’s standards body for telecom. He has also served as the coordinator of Tata Teleservices IIT Bombay Center of Excellence in Telecommunications (TICET) and the National Center of Excellence in Technology for Internal Security. He received his M.Tech. and then a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1988 and 1994, respectively

Mr. Vinayak Chatterjee

Mr. Vinayak Chatterjee graduated in Economics (Hons) from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University (1976-1979) and did his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1979 – 1981). He co-founded Feedback Infra Pvt. Ltd. in 1990 and served as its Chairman from 1990 to 2021. Since stepping down from active management, he now devotes his time and energy to Infrastructure Policy, Advocacy and Capacity Building; and for this purpose has recently co-founded The Infravision Foundation, where he is a Managing Trustee.

Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi

Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi received the B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1986, 1988, and 1995, respectively. He served the Department of Electronics Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi from 1994 to 1996. Subsequently, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. In 1999, he moved to Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur where he also held the positions of Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dean of Research & Development and Deputy Director. He is now the Director of IIT Roorkee. He is a recipient of the INSA Teachers award, the Distinguished Teacher award of IIT Kanpur and Tan Chin Tuan Fellowship of Nanyang Technical University, Singapore. He is a founding member of the Telecom Standards Development Society of India (TSDSI).
