164th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand Celebration

On 22nd January 2026, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya proudly organized 'Run for Swadeshi,' to commemorate the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The event was conceived to honour his timeless ideals of self-reliance (Swadeshi), national pride, physical vitality, and youth empowerment, aligning perfectly with the university's mission to build resilient and conscious future leaders for the nation.

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Choudhary addressed the gathering, drawing parallels between Swami Vivekananda's vision of strength and the modern-day 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India) initiative. He emphasized the role of disciplined physical fitness as the foundation for mental and national strength.

Dr. Jayprakash Soni has sensitised students to Swadeshi values, Atmanirbhar Bharat, physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and national unity, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The event successfully emphasized the Swami's belief in 'śāriramādyam khalu dharmasādhanam' (the body is the primary instrument for fulfilling one's purpose), promoting fitness as a core value.
