About the Library

The Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) Library is located on the ground floor of the Academic Building at the GSV campus. The library serves as a central learning resource for students, faculty, and researchers. It houses a rich and diverse collection of books covering major disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Management. Special emphasis is given to resources in Rail Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, and Human Resource Management, along with a good collection of general reading and novels.

The library is fully automated using e-Granthalaya Library Management Software. Book circulation is carried out through an RFID-based system and smart cards, ensuring quick and efficient services.

The library provides well-organized sections including a Periodicals Section, New Arrivals Section, Rare Books Area, Stack Area, and Reading Area. A quiet and user-friendly environment supports academic study, research, and lifelong learning.

The Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya Library’s collection comprises physical resources as form of textbooks, reference books, covering the diverse disciplines of the University. It also includes general-interest books to encourage reading and broaden students’ knowledge. 

The collection is continuously enriched to support teaching, learning, and research and is organized using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System.
